The adventures of Almigo

I enjoyed John Wick 1 and John avenging his dog - as a loving dog owner (RIP Savannah) I completely understand his anger and cheered him on as he got revenge and his car back and occasionally remembered his wife. I enjoyed John Wick 2 from what I remembered of it. Although it's amazing how many assassins there are in his world. Even people busking in Subways are ready to shoot to kill. Hell, even the homeless seem to have a hidden (underground) agenda. I've just finished John Wick 3: Parabellum a couple of days ago...annnnnd I'm still not sure what to make of it. AHOY - POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD.

Welcome to the future and space, were the fate of a couple of thousand colonists lay in the hands of some completely forgettable idiots. Oh and a guy named after an American state. Strap yourself in, it's a completely forgettable ride as I watch Alien Covenant . Anyone got any good ideas on how we can throw a bag of spanners into this mission?

Thanks to my wonderful brother and his vast collection, I've been catching up with some comics. A lot of comics. A plethora of comics. More comics than your average comic fan could handle.  One mighty title in fact being the vast adventures of Spawn - from fallen soldier Al Simmons, to the adventures of Sam and Twich, right up to city protecting demi god like Hellspawn and his mighty powers (and I still haven't gotten to the end of the 150+ original editions nor the spin offs yet). A lot of Spawn. In the midst of all of the flying necroplasm and bullets, I thought I'd take a break from the comic form and explore the adventures of Al in a completely different form - namely the movie from 1997 when I was having a pretty one sided punch on with puberty. For some reason even after seeing it twice before, I struggle to recall much of at all. So after 100 comics and a rewatching, would it become more ingrained in my fanboy mind? This one. Er...no. Damnit.

Like buying a 24 year old rotary, investing in shares and trusting that most mobile phones will make it unscathed through two years of abuse, watching this Vin Diesel effort is like doing a Ugandan tax return. Especially when you find out you don’t know any Ugandanese. Or know anything about tax...
