The adventures of Almigo

So four and a bit years ago, I wrote and published my very first book - The Adventures of Almigo: One man, no plan and everything that happens along the way.  Fast track to now and slowly but surely it's turning into an audiobook! Oh did I mention you can listen to it for free? Oh I haven't? Okay, you can listen to it for free!

As a radio announcer one of the best parts of the job is getting to interview some of my favorite names in the music business. And over the last few years (the last three especially) I've had some great chats with some amazing performers. Plenty of laughs and amazing tales along the way. Diesel - It's impossible to have a boring conversation with Diesel. He is a master storyteller.  And after looking at my overflowing folders on the work server (Engineering always look at me lovingly when they run a search on who seems to be hogging up the server space again..) I've decided to share some of the truly memorable bits online. Parts of great chats that would otherwise just sit in my folders somewhere waiting to be used again. So I was looking for some inspirational music to get inspired and fling around half a tonne in the backyard like it was no tough task. What I happily tripped over instead was a classy looking gangster, his pet dancing zombie and a bunch of coconuts. God I love Youtube sometimes.

Okay so it wasn't millions I was making. Or thousands. Or even hundreds. Sigh, let's be honest here, with YouTube I'm lucky to pull in anything more than a couple of bucks from my car video related shenanigans. But now come Feb 20 that tiny trickle will come to a complete stop on account of not having 1000 subscribers (I have 37 at last count) or 4000 hours of watched material over the last year (I got close to about 25% of that...) Ffs Youtube, could you please stop moving the goalposts even further away every time I turn to craft a video in order to score a buck or two?

Well it's a momentous day for me today - after creating 16 different videos for my Youtube account and after having them watched for a combined total of more than 2 days and 5 hours...I have finally made my first Youtube dollar!
