What does this song mean?

And here I was thinking that I'd done the world a massive favour by revealing what Flo Rida's song Whistle was really about (hint, if you don't know, it's all explained on this very site right here ). But it seems I celebrated my helpful ways a little too early as a quick check on Google reveals that I really do have my work cut out for me - there's a whole heap of songs out there that people are still confused by.  And so in the spirit of awesomeness, once again I have donned my cap of explaination to prove the answers to your crippling song meaning questions...

Datsun returns! But don't sell your 240Z just yet...

Amazing news for those who enjoyed rides in Datsun's as kids - Nissan is bringing back the Datsun badge! Cue the choir singers, strike up the band and hand out the Jatz crackers and cheese! (Yes technically this is news from March but I'm still semi excited about this announcement in September..) Welcome back! Buuuuuut (and as buts go, Sir Mix A Lot will get very excited about this level of but size) before you start reliving your heady days with rides to school in mum's burnt orange 120Y, your mates first car the 180B or in my case my Dad's fondness for his British Racing Green 260Z, there are a few things you have to prepare for when Datsun finally makes it's rearrival in 2014...

Not a sausage (software)

In the early days of the internet, when the humble internet cafes were king and 56K was seen as 'lightning fast', there was a company born out of a bedroom: Sausage Software. A coding genius (whose name escapes me) locked himself in a bedroom for a few days and after realizing the internet had much more to offer than porn and mp3s, built his own software and then fame and fortune in that order. From an article I read at the time, he was probably going to be the next Bill Gates and was busy rubbing shoulders with the whose who of Australian business. I saw posters and billboards and plenty of ads for it. What happened? But what happened next? And why doesn't anyone remember him or the company he made?

Rap-a-long with Pitbull! (Aka what's he rapping about now?)

Just like Snoop Dogg back in the day, there's nary a new song released on radio anymore where Pitbull doesn't announces his appearance and then proceeds to rap about women he slept with and clocking up frequent flyer points. Whether you invited him to in the first place or not. Here I am! But if you think that this is the extent of his focus, prepare to be amazed. After I've exhaustingly rummaged through as many Pitbull songs or songs featuring Mr Bull himself as my frontal lobes could handle, I've discovered that there's quite a lot of strange things that are referenced up in a few Pitbull songs you might not be aware of. And if he ever runs out of things to rhyme about, I've come up with a few more. No need to thank me Mr Worldwide. Read on:

Both feet must touch the floor - my highlights of the 2011 Royal Rumble

Occasionally when I'm in a tired mood after a busy day of driving my rotor closer to the grave and praising the virtues of Flo Rida's song about Netball, I like to relax in a sink in couch in front of a big screen TV and switch my brain off. I do this with one of my guilty pleasure past times: watching some wrestling. Lets get ready to rumble! And I love every grunt, groan, cheap shot and powerslam along the way.

Please stop pointing out that I'm going to die

Here's how my days have been rolling along recently: 5am get up 6am - 10am Talk crap on radio 10am-2pm Fill out all the paperwork and complaint forms 2pm onwards Go home, sit down and be innundated with ads about funeral insurance. Can I get it on finance? Okay, I know I'm going to die someday...but do you really have to point it out to me constantly?
