So much great chat, so little time to play it.,,

As a radio announcer one of the best parts of the job is getting to interview some of my favorite names in the music business. And over the last few years (the last three especially) I've had some great chats with some amazing performers. Plenty of laughs and amazing tales along the way. Diesel - It's impossible to have a boring conversation with Diesel. He is a master storyteller.  And after looking at my overflowing folders on the work server (Engineering always look at me lovingly when they run a search on who seems to be hogging up the server space again..) I've decided to share some of the truly memorable bits online. Parts of great chats that would otherwise just sit in my folders somewhere waiting to be used again. Here's some of the tastiest bits I've saved and uploaded so far: (Also you may want to bookmark this page, plenty more coming up as I continue my trawl through the archives..)

I have a really stupid idea for a seriously deep hole..

Today in the aim of sharing things I want to introduce you to the 'well to hell', the world's deepest dug hole. And since it's not doing much currently, me being the genius that I am has come up with a truly stupid use for it.. Undo these bolts and it's under the lid!

Trying on Medium for size

No not a spiritual Medium (although if you get the chance to see Charmaine Wilson do her thing it is pretty amazing), I mean writing for Medium.com ! And after popping up five rip roaringly entertaining articles, well...I haven't really gotten anywhere. Not a great start really but perhaps you can help?

I watched more trailers than a truck yard

In hindsight the triple shot cappuccino before it was a bad idea (I'm still moving about like this anti-6 million dollar man as you read this) but I can't say no to a free coffee and I got to drink it while watching an hours worth of upcoming movie trailers in a special preview session. So a win win all round. So from the trailers I remembered, here's my take on what looks good, what doesn't and what should be avoided like the plague (shout out to a certain movie about fire fighters coming up in that last list..)

Pop off pop up

I liken them to those completely over the top ads on blogs like this one explaining that somehow you're the one millionth winner and there's a prize if you click here blah blah blah (and apologies if I've suddenly generated one of those ads now just by typing that sentence.) I'm talking about those pop up shops in shopping centers that try to grab your attention to buy something you don't need, support a charity you've never heard of or buy a raffle ticket to win even more gear you never really wanted. And here I was thinking I'd be safe strolling through the local park...
