Trying on Medium for size

No not a spiritual Medium (although if you get the chance to see Charmaine Wilson do her thing it is pretty amazing), I mean writing for Medium.com!

And after popping up five rip roaringly entertaining articles, well...I haven't really gotten anywhere. Not a great start really but perhaps you can help?

So why Medium and not here then huh? HUH?

Good question! It all boils down to trying new things to make more than a handful of cents per month blogging (it fluctuates but on average it's enough to for a particular nasty $1 take away coffee from 7-11). While I'm happy to be earning any money at all, I'm seeing if I can make it grow, slowly.

So after five articles...

...and a few days, I have a total of four reads. Not a great start for three bits of creative writing and a couple of articles from my car blog but I figured they'd be well written enough to get someone's attention but it doesn't look like it. The goal is to get them featured and exposed to paying members (and make millions obviously) but in its current rate of attraction that might be a while off (and also someone pointed out on Reddit that if it's not an article on how to please women, then I have no chance. Let's see if that's the case then!)

Sure, that would be great! Just a quick visit to any of the articles that flick your interest switch (and maybe a clap if you've joined up yourself) could get things noticed (or at least the process started.) And I always appreciate people reading my gear so thank you in advance!

I'm falling for Helena the hire car - My very first article on Medium but will it actually go anywhere? Currently I've driving a very boring looking hire car while my wagon gets repaired and funnily enough it is growing on me..

How are you finding it? Are you writing on how to please women? Are you getting views, making money, buying Ferraris and exotic islands? Got any advice for me? Let me know below and we can follow each other and become so stinking rich that we won't have to write about random taxis again anytime soon...

Edit 1: After following thirty five fellow Australian Medium members, one of them has followed me back. View count still at four though. This is going well..

Edit 2: My tax file application bounced back after they needed a number I've never heard of. Well that's helpful. While that happened I got another read but no claps. No one has a sense of humor there? They sure don't make things easy there do they?

Edit 3: I tried a different form that didn't involve signing my life away and within minutes it was accepted. Why didn't they just give me that form in the first place? Anyway now I can earn millions of monies so I've added another article to my fearsome article arsenal: 9 Car reasons to watch Hyperdrive on Netflix. You should read it (and watch it) and applaud loudly.
