Now blogging over at Onemanmanyplans.com.au

It's been real, thanks Blogger! Hey thanks for checking out this page! After 10 years of posting here and over 600 posts, it's time to try something new at over possibly greener pastures. Which means you can now find me and all my random adventuring ways over at One Man Many Plans .

26 things I thought might happen in the final episode of Game of Thrones (but obviously didn't)

Well it's done and dusted, the mighty Game of Thrones is finally over. 8 glorious and occasionally up and down seasons all finished and a final episode that was very light on action but tied up quite a few story lines. (The highlight for me was Pod's mighty smile - he's the happiest guy in Westeros!)

Going into it I had a few ideas of things that would happen (well quite a few it seems) and of course like me picking lottery numbers, I wasn't even close. But sharing is caring and now you can see how horrible inaccurate I truly was in how the Game of Games actually ended...

(Possible spoilers ahead if you haven't seen the last ep, you have been warned.)

27. Bron doesn't get his castle and kills Tyrion with a crossbow when he least expects it. Probably not on the toilet like Tyrion did to his own father but still with a crossbow bolt. If Jamie is still alive (somehow) he gets nailed too.

26. Cersei is saved by the rock fall by the strongest barrier known to man, Jamie's iron hand. Everything other than the mighty hand gets crushed.

25. The Night King appears (somehow) and kills Daenerys right on the cusp of victory. He in turn is swallowed by the dragon.

24. Brienne marries Tormud. The ceremony is a blur of milk, music and ale.

23. The dragon eats Jon. I'm surprised this didn't happen, Targaryen blood or not.

22. We actually find out that Syri Forel is still alive. After all we never saw him die on screen and that scream could have belonged to someone else.

Still alive, just in hiding

21. Ayra did die in the dragon fire but was brought back to life by the God of Light. If she was wearing an eye patch in the final ep, this would have confirmed things quite nicely.

20. Euron Greyjoy is found alive and then roasted alive. (He deserved it)

19. Grey Worm goes crazy (well crazier than he was when storming the city) and accidentally kills Daenerys after getting into a rage.

18. The Mountains skull turns up somewhere in the rubble. It'd be hard to mistake his skull for anyone else's really.

17. We see where everyone ends up in ten years. No not a school reunion, but maybe we see Sansa still ruling and looking even more regal?

16. Arya pulls off her own face to reveal...she hasn't been Ayra for quite a while now.

15. Arya kills Daenerys but in a way that nobody ever finds out. She's quite good at this by now.

14. Ayra changes her mind and does marry Gendry. They share the Iron Throne after Gendry builds a new one, this time with room for two bodies.

13. Having come to the end of her quest, Daenerys lets the Dothraki and the Unsullied go. She has no further need of them and they can go an enjoy their lives now (how wrong on this one I was!)

12. Jon gets killed by Daenerys because otherwise he'd still have a right to the throne and then Daenerys is killed by someone else. Admit it, you thought of this one too..

Rule together in death
11. The last person you'd ever expect to take the throne, takes the throne. Samwell Tarly springs to mind.

10. An unaccounted amount of Wildfire suddenly explodes and wipes everyone out. Or maybe half the army. Okay just the dragon and Dani. The green smoke appearing during the destruction of the town made me seriously think this was were things were going.

9. When Jon leads the people out from the Wall, there's a bunch of White Walkers waiting for him..

8. Daenerys realises what she's done and takes her own life. With something made of dragon glass.

7. Remember the girl who Varys was working with who was being watched by the soldiers? She finally completes her mission in his memory.

She finally ate something!

6. Another force nobody was prepared for or knew anything about appears on the horizon just as everybody got their shit together..

5. Jamie and Cersei survive and escape with nobody's knowledge. Jamie leaves his hand on top of the rubble pile to fool everyone in believing they're still buried deep down.

4. The dead rise out of the bodies from the destroyed town. I haven't worked out how this would happen though but what a plot twist!

3. Ser Davos goes with Ayra. Come on, he's perfect for a sailing adventure!

2. Ellaria the sand snake appears. She's still alive isn't she?

1. Everyone dies. Not a single favorite character remains alive to take a step towards let alone sit on the iron throne. The final shot is of the throne and as it pans out, you see all the slain characters. Slain by whom? Well a grinning Night King would have been a perfect 'You thought you got rid of me but not that easily' massive swerve..

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaccccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkk

Now confession time: What did you think/hope was going to happen in the final episode...and how close were you to actual events? Comment below!
