There are 100 numbers, choose 1

It's always the way isn't it? You have a task, a challenge, a job, something you've promised yourself you'll finally get around to finishing (or in the case of big projects at least getting more of it done) and for some reason you distract yourself with other projects. For me it's working on my latest book. The idea is there, the idea I feel is solid. It's just a case of sitting down and banging away on the keyboard each night to get it from my brain to e-paper.  I've made a great start... ...and then all of a sudden I'm working on a podcast which has no bearing on the book whatsoever? Good work Almigo, you've done it again!

A night on the sauce and a dead Samurai

Today I feel like I've tried to give a moving bus a headlock. But still, it was a truly fun weekend.. Getting my head in the game. It's taking quite some time today..

Please don't ignore this massage

It's been a while between scam emails - life has been life, work has been hectic, I've been grunting and sweating my way through my exercise sessions and so I've been putting responding to random idiots through my email on the back burner.  Until today when I was kindly asked not to 'ignore this massage.' I hope it's a hot stone one! Trust me, I NEVER ignore a massage. Better set the record straight then...

Mix it, smash it, lift some more - road testing some protein powders!

So I've been picking up and putting down the iron out in the backyard on and off again for years, if not almost a couple of decades. Sometimes there was a plan, more often not just the occasional session of lifting until I got tired (and/or bored) and then repeat the process a few days later. I got a little stronger and slightly leaner in the process and I really enjoy my backyard sessions. It's very rare you'll find me in a gym like this one.. Curiously I decided to track how much protein I was ingesting on a day to day basis (to see if it was enough mainly) and lo and behold, wouldn't you know it? My intake was under where it should be. Can't build muscle with a half empty fuel tank. So with a proper weight lifting plan on board this time, let's take a look at some of the protein powder sachets available before I find one I really like and buy a big tub of the stuff...
