There are 100 numbers, choose 1

It's always the way isn't it? You have a task, a challenge, a job, something you've promised yourself you'll finally get around to finishing (or in the case of big projects at least getting more of it done) and for some reason you distract yourself with other projects.

For me it's working on my latest book. The idea is there, the idea I feel is solid. It's just a case of sitting down and banging away on the keyboard each night to get it from my brain to e-paper.
I've made a great start...

...and then all of a sudden I'm working on a podcast which has no bearing on the book whatsoever?

Good work Almigo, you've done it again!
Okay the podcast wasn't completely random - my creative cohort here at work Brixey and I have been plotting away for quite some time to do something together and we finally found a small wedge of time to record something up.

(Happily it required next to no editing which was a huge boon!)

The concept:

Take a number podcast: Two mates, 100 numbers to choose from and each contains an entertaining and occasionally revealing question to answer. In this episode - film and music buff Dan Brixey puts on his directors cap, throws himself and a biro into a time machine and refuses to believe a statement from a famous American singer...

So have a listen and let me know what you think - love it, hate it, somewhere in between? Your encouragement (or witty criticisms) fuel the desire to produce more so hit me with your thoughts!

The true meaning of Flo Rida's song 'Whistle'..

Because I'm getting the general feeling that people around me are really missing the true spirit of Mr Rida's epic masterpiece... We're getting right into the real Flo, yo. After all this time, it's still all about that wisal baby song!

Mortal Engines for the Emperor!

Now maybe it's just me and maybe I've read far too much into the Warhammer 40K lore and universe...but I'm seeing a lot of parallels between it and the now available on Netflix movie Mortal Engines..

Please don't ignore this massage

It's been a while between scam emails - life has been life, work has been hectic, I've been grunting and sweating my way through my exercise sessions and so I've been putting responding to random idiots through my email on the back burner.  Until today when I was kindly asked not to 'ignore this massage.' I hope it's a hot stone one! Trust me, I NEVER ignore a massage. Better set the record straight then...
