16 Amazing facts about the unreleased film 'A Dumptruck of Makeup'

Hey you've heard of the huge underground movie 'Dumptruck of Makeup'?

No? Well that's not surprising. The first time effort of director Gee Tah Stringh was an ambitious project that he boldly proclaimed was 'Going to solidly kick Hollywood right in the left testicle.'

However it wasn't even a glancing blow to the fun bags and instead ended up doomed from the start, never making it to release. Perhaps these amazing facts that I've dug up will shed some light as to why..

16. No one on the production team had a heavy vehicle license and therefore couldn't actually drive the dump truck in the movie. They had to resort to news report footage of dump trucks in action and any interior shots were actually filmed inside the catering trailer which also doubled as the sleeping quarters for co star Michael Uber.

15. Strangely the main actress Caitlin Jones Adams Smith couldn't speak English but switched from German to Mandarin to grunting depending on who was talking to her. The voice you hear when she speaks on film is actually co star Michael Uber pretending to be female.

14. Some of the names Gee Tah considered for the role of Thomas Thomas the film's protagonist included Yahoo Serious, Karl Stefanovic, Angry Anderson, Tiger Ali Singh, Barney Rubble and David Faustino. Unfortunately he never told anyone so no one sent any of the names above a script. Thomas Thomas ended up being played by Dennis DeMony who is Michael Uber's landlord in real life.

13. The scene where a car drives over a landmine and then is blown so high up in the air it lands on the roof of a building was voted 'The most idiotic thing we've ever seen' by most of the crew. Michael Uber said it looked okay.

12. According to a make up artist who worked on the film, most of the makeup ended up on the dump truck. The makeup for the actors came from stolen sample packs from Myer and were mostly shades of blue.

11. The music that plays over the titles as the dump truck slowly comes into view is Michael Uber pretending to sound like an electric guitar.

10. The dog doing a turd in the background during the argument scene between the two taxi drivers is intentional. The scene had to be filmed 22 times before the dog got it right.

9. Financing for the film came from the Moorland City Council who'd been told the money was for a municipal swimming pool.

8. Gee Tah was fond of throwing plates into the middle of scenes when he felt the actors weren't performing to the best of their abilities. After the first day of filming there were no ceramic plates left so catering had to switch to using paper ones instead.

7. The romantic movie Bob and Bonita go to see at the cinemas is called 'Picnic at Beth's' but the footage shown is actually from Buttman's Big Butt Backdoor Babes 3.

6. Penny Jill-Jones who plays Bonita in the film also provided the voice of Hercules the dog. At last count Hercules had 27 more lines in the script than Bonita did.

5. The film is set in 1998 but Gee Tah has never explained to anyone why. He also left the Xbox One and Kogan TV in the scenes where Harry is at home as a subtle nod to time travel movies.

4. A massive fan of wrestling, Gee Tah would often play pranks on his crew by randomly hitting them with a folded up steel chair when they least expected it. Terry Curtain the sound recordist spent three weeks in a coma because of it.

3. Rumors abounded about co star Michael Uber having a secret relationship with Penny Jill-Jones while on set. And Susan Daniels who played Wonton Maggie. And three of the make up team, two caterers and even a female security guard. No one has ever confirmed if Michael himself actually started these rumors.

2. Actress Caitlin Jones Adams Smith (through an interpreter) once said in an interview that this was the worst film project she's ever been a part of. The interviewer was quick to point out that it was the only film project she's ever been a part of. She has since gone back to her original career as an English Literature teacher in Madagascar.

1. Upon watching the final cut of 'Dump truck of Makeup', director Gee Tah Stringh threw a celebratory party and didn't invite anyone who had been a part of it. Ending up viciously drunk he got into a bloody fight with himself and managed to hurl the one and only copy of the movie out of his 34rd floor window where it ironically landed in the back of a dump truck below and hasn't been seen since. Michael Uber has been quoted this as being the best work Gee had done all movie.
