Now blogging over at Onemanmanyplans.com.au

It's been real, thanks Blogger! Hey thanks for checking out this page! After 10 years of posting here and over 600 posts, it's time to try something new at over possibly greener pastures. Which means you can now find me and all my random adventuring ways over at One Man Many Plans .

A whole bunch of books that go BANG!

Another chance to read more books for free? This place is turning into the blogspot version of Ozbargain it seems (for books that is). However if you love your reads heavy on the action side, then you're going to love what's on offer here!

Yeah after the great success of All The Free Sci-Fi in July here's another chance to get your hands (and eyes more importantly) on a whole heap of action packed reads that you can rip into for free via Kindle Unlimited. And who knows? You may just end up finding your next favorite author of all time this way too!

I'm also highlighting some of the amazing authors behind these works. Lets meet some of them shall we? (More being added along the way!)

MEET JR POMERANTZ

1. Tell us about your foray into the world of writing? What led to you deciding, okay I'm going to write a book..

New Jersey, 1996. I was an idiot child, heady with my early successes: first a grade-school tall tale contest win; then publication among thousands in a national book of poetry. Next I’ll write a novel, I thought. Can’t be that difficult, I thought.

After twenty-four years of trying, I finally figured it out, and my debut novel, Corporate Torsos Need Not Apply, was born on 20 June 2020.

2. Tell us a little about the book(s) we get to read in this promo?

Corporate Torsos Need Not Apply is a near-future cli-fi action adventure comedy. Think Kurt Vonnegut meets an earthly Hitchhiker’s Guide plus Indiana Jones and Atlantis Gene. And then it really starts to get weird.

If you’re feeling a little bit punchy these days, and part of your brain wants to travel by camel through the Great Thar Desert, ponder the biochemical composition of human blood, and lead a secret society insurrection as part of a tunnel-based women's militia while you make jokes, try it out! You won’t be disappointed-

3. The best thing you've read in the last twelve months? (Could be a book, a website, something on a back of a shampoo bottle, some random graffiti, anything!)

Have you read Jose Padua’s Ten Sonnets for Electric Motherfuckers? My faves of the collection are “Canto LXXXI” and “Rubber Bullets and Electric.” Amazeballs. Take a look-

4. Do you have your own website/twitter/email/social media where people could find out more about your work?

I’m at https://www.facebook.com/AuthorJRPomerantz/ and I have my blog, website at jrpomerantz.com. You could sign up for my newsletter there if you’re so inclined, and I’ll send you a sneak preview of my next novel, Love in the Time of the Improvised Explosive Device (coming Dec. 2020!). Plus there’s my instagram, @jrpantzerantz if you wanna see the very occasional pic of me fencing, flying, eating, + other things authors do when they’re not screaming at a laptop-

5. You've just woke up and discovered you now have a super power. Which super power and how effective is it in saving the world?

Oh, nope. Nope, nope, nope. You’re not getting charitable labor out of me that easy. My superpower is just saying no to working for free.

6. (Bonus question) The greatest drink in the world is?

Coffee. Ever visit a coffee farm? Coffee is so beautiful in its natural habitat, when I first saw it, I cried. Can you get out of bed and have great ideas without it in your life? If so, I salute you. Not me. I’m totally dependent on coffee. After I book my commercial space flight with the millions I make off these novels, I’m going all in on coffee farming.

MEET CHAD SANBORN

1. Tell us about your foray into the world of writing? What led to you deciding, okay I'm going to write a book..

Like a lot of folks, I was cursed at a young age with an overwhelming desire to be a writer. I tried the traditional route, even got an agent. But I grew tired of waiting around to be chosen. When a story of mine won a crime fiction short story contest crime, it gave me the confidence to make the leap to become an indie crime fiction author. I never looked back.

2. Tell us a little about the book(s) we get to read in this promo?

I have two books in this promo, All Debts, Public And Private and The Grifted Girl, the first and third books in the Sheriff Billy Keene Stories. It’s a fun rural noir crime fiction series full of colorful characters and dark twists.

3. The best thing you've read in the last twelve months? (Could be a book, a website, something on a back of a shampoo bottle, some random graffiti, anything!)

The clever work NTVS Clothing and artist Steven Paul Judd are creating followed closely by the New Zealand crime novel Death on Demand by Paul Thomas.

4. Do you have your own website/twitter/email/social media where people could find out more about your work?

I’m not that active on social media. The best way to find out more about my books  is to sign up for my monthly newsletter at www.mrchadsanborn.com.

5. You've just woke up and discovered you now have a super power. Which super power and how effective is it in saving the world?

Always having the perfect snappy comeback. Putting villains in their place would be super effective at saving the world, I think.

6. (Bonus question) The greatest drink in the world is?

Before 8 pm, a dry martini. (Notice I don’t specify gin or vodka? There is no need. A martini is only made with gin.). After 8 pm, George Dickel rye whiskey with a splash.

MEET AL SHIELD (hey that's me!)

1. Tell us about your foray into the world of writing? What led to you deciding, okay I'm going to write a book..

If you've been following this blog then most of this journey is detailed here. In fact this place was the catalyst for my very first book (and then the second and the third...) a few years ago. When I ran out of lunatic adventures to write about I shifted to sci-fi Horror (War Wagon) and then firmly into the world of Cyberpunk with Hack Frost, Hack Stone and the upcoming Hack Space.

Is it enough of a success for me to retire from radio and live on a luxury yacht for the rest of my life? No, no it is not. But I love writing and will be plugging away at it for as long as possible.

2. Tell us a little about the book(s) we get to read in this promo?

WAR WAGON - Demons from another world accidentally end up here on Earth and try to find their (bloody) war home. Meanwhile government forces try to stop them while even more secretive forces try to use them for their own purposes..

HACK FROST - A former Cyber soldier agrees to drive an old ice cream truck across the country with the promise of easy cash for an easy job. Unfortunately for him there's more to this truck than meets the eye (no it's not a transformer) and suddenly everyone you don't want to cross paths with wants a piece of what's inside...

HACK STONE - The follow on to Hack Frost. Hack attempts to help another cyber soldier project in getting her life back by tracking down their original creators in what becomes a deeply tangled and exceedingly dangerous mission.

3. The best thing you've read in the last twelve months? (Could be a book, a website, something on a back of a shampoo bottle, some random graffiti, anything!)

I've been reading a lot of Dan Abnett over the last twelve months because I really enjoy his writing style and the whole Warhammer 40K universe. I've just finished Gaunt's Ghosts Warmaster which was a great read but the true highlight have been his Eisenhorn books.

On top of that I've revisited Tim Ferris's Tools of Titans and Tribe of Mentors as they're both fascinating to see what goes on in the lives of people at the top of their game.

4. Do you have your own website/twitter/email/social media where people could find out more about your work?

Oh god, where do I start?
Obviously there's this blog that you're reading now.
Then there's one all about cars Driveanotherday
There's a Facebook page for my writing Al Shield
And Twitter..
And there's a stack more floating around the net but that's enough for now..

5. You've just woke up and discovered you now have a super power. Which super power and how effective is it in saving the world?

Near limitless teleportation. Possibly not world saving when I mostly use it to pop over to Japan to grab some tasty parts for my Nissan wagon or decide that I really need a big plate of fresh Gyoza but handy for me at least.

6. (Bonus question) The greatest drink in the world is?

When matched with a nice steak, a great glass of red wine. Or a tasty beer. And then there's scotch and dry and...yeah there's a few.

OKAY THAT'S NICE ABOUT THE AUTHORS AND ALL BUT I WANT TO HAVE A LOOK AT ALL THESE BOOKS YOU TALK OF RIGHT NOW! (Click me!)
