Grab a free book and tell the author what you think

Like books? Like finishing up a book, mulling it over in your mind and then putting your thoughts to the internet? Can you not visit any cafe without leaving a review all about their steaming chai late and freshly baked pumpkin scones, even if you thought the service was 'adequate'?

Well have I got some more awesome freebies for you!

Welcome to Fantastic Fiction - get a free book and leave a review!

The name wraps it up in a nutshell and adds a nice little bow to the package. You peruse the mighty list right here, work out which book you'd like to read and then apply to review it.

The author of the book your chose gives your application a quick look over and if they decide you're not about to savage their work unfairly (based on other reviews where you may have savaged things within an inch of their life because you were having a bad day, missed your bus or the cafe with the pumpkin scones got your order wrong) then you'll get a free read and the author will wait with baited breath to see what you think in review form.

It's a win win all round really - you get a free read and possible an introduction to someone who might just become your next favorite author - the author gets another review on their work which is a huge bonus to them, especially if it's a well written and positive one. (You might not like their work obviously but please try not to set it on fire without a valid reason..)

Where do I have to leave a review?

Where you decide to in your application. Amazon is always a popular one, as is Good Reads. But maybe you have a blog like this one and want to make your next review a blog post - that's pretty sweet.

I currently have a reviewer reading my book and when he's done, doing an Instragam post about it. In Spanish. Apart from the fact that I don't speak Spanish, I'm super stoked that that's how he's going to review my book.

What types of books are there?

Best to take a look really but with over 50+ ranging from sci-fi to fantasy and even a box set you could end up reading for free, there's something for everyone!

So I can read Hack Frost now for free if I review it?

Yep,  it's in the collection too. So have a look through, see what you like and enjoy your free reads!

The true meaning of Flo Rida's song 'Whistle'..

The whistle song? What's it about? Read on! Controversial I know but I'm about to reveal the true meaning behind the Whistle song by Flo Rida. Why? Because I'm getting the general feeling that people around me are really missing the true spirit of Mr Rida's epic masterpiece... We're getting right into the real Flo, yo. After all this time, it's still all about that wisal baby song!

Mortal Engines for the Emperor!

Now maybe it's just me and maybe I've read far too much into the Warhammer 40K lore and universe...but I'm seeing a lot of parallels between it and the now available on Netflix movie Mortal Engines..

Please don't ignore this massage

It's been a while between scam emails - life has been life, work has been hectic, I've been grunting and sweating my way through my exercise sessions and so I've been putting responding to random idiots through my email on the back burner.  Until today when I was kindly asked not to 'ignore this massage.' I hope it's a hot stone one! Trust me, I NEVER ignore a massage. Better set the record straight then...
