Now blogging over at Onemanmanyplans.com.au

It's been real, thanks Blogger! Hey thanks for checking out this page! After 10 years of posting here and over 600 posts, it's time to try something new at over possibly greener pastures. Which means you can now find me and all my random adventuring ways over at One Man Many Plans .

There is no mystery here involving a Princess

Sigh. I thought I'd come across some ancient crime scene but a quick search online tells me I'm an idiot..

So I work roughly one block away from a beach. And even with the great number of hotels, motels and places to crash for the night, plenty of fine dining eateries and a couple of shopping centers within sniffing distance - there are still quite a few rough looking properties about.

You know the ones - were they anywhere else they'd be bottom on the rental list due to the fact that they're just a wasp knob from being condemned. As rough as guts on the outside, you could only imagine how bad they are on their inside and you can practically picture the threadbare carpet and ancient food stained oven made from a brand that went out of business two decades back.
But being one block away from the beach and shopping, they still pull in staggering amounts of rental loot because location, location, location. People love the sandy lifestyle and are willing to pay through the nose for it.

And up until today. I've completed glossed over this one and the fact that it's completely fenced off. Not just fenced off, but boarded up too. There's clothes scattered around the front room and unless you're willing to scrunch things up, you're certainly not going to get any junk mail in here.

Not that anyone would ever get around to reading them that is, judging by the weeds it's been a very long time since anyone set foot in the place or tried opening up one of the garages.

I've been parking in this street for almost four years and it's been fenced off for as long as I can remember, which begs the question - what happened here? Crime scene? Dropsite massacre? Devil worship? Meth lab operation? (Well more possibility there on that last one than the first two..) It's currently abandoned status gives off the feeling that something bad happened here, the authorities have shut it down/locked it up and left it to its own devices ever since.

There's no police tape around but it could have blown away over the years..

Was that the case though Google?

Er...no. It turns out with a quick Googling over my big bucket of take away coffee this morning that the place was sold back in 2015 and then the new owners applied to build far more units in its place in 2016 and got approved in 2017. So they're just waiting for the right time to get a demolition mob in to clear it down until it's time to build some new units.

224 Apartments all up.

So effectively Google has ruined any and all mystery over this Princess. Bugger. I do love a good mystery..
