I'm channeling my dad today - the time he walked down Victoria Street Richmond blissfully unaware he was wearing odd shoes, like I've found myself doing today.
And come to think of it, given his 3am starts he too probably got dressed in the dark like I do now..
For the record, not a single person noticed the entire morning. Not even at the coffee catchup, the planning meeting or the conversations in the hallway. I made it back home, found the matching pair and no one was the wiser.
GOTTA GET DOWN
Well it's Friday once again which means we parked the show in the 80's section of the music library and left it there (sadly Mexican Radio was not one of the songs getting a spin), we talked all things weekend football (latest update to my ailing Supercoach team coming soon) and finished up with a big bucket of hot coffee and a bacon, egg and cheese roll for the awesome price of just a ten dollar note.
SPEAKING OF COFFEE..
We had our coffee van good to go, we had council permission, we had our location ready...we just didn't have access to electricity which mean you could only swing by and grab a cold drink.
Still this boded well for one of our great mates over the border, on her way to work here in Albury. Cold drinks for days!
FRIDAY EXHAUSTION
Usually by mid afternoon on Friday, I'm wrecked. I don't do a weights session on a Friday, I rarely write (Friday entries are usually finished the next day) and most Fridays are spent catching up on whatever I'm streaming at the moment (Currently The Boys Season 2). This one all I wanted was a nap..but in the usual spanner in the works moment that is me at the moment (see: Supercoach) that didn't happen as was replaced by a three hour car trip to Bendigo.
With all the family here, I have a sneaky suspicion it's going to be quite some time before my much needed sleep in rolls around again...
Oh well, happy weekend.
