I've just rocked in back home after three busy days in Melbourne, dodging lunatic drivers and trying to find parking spaces around hospitals that don't require a small mortgage to rent by the hour. But there's no time to unpack, there's a game on tonight which means I need to get my spanner throwing into the works attempt for this round up and running already!
GET OUT THERE AND CAUSE ABSOLUTE CHAOS.
And carnage, a fair sprinkling of that too. Because I'm so far behind anything, all I can do now is be a complete and utter pain in the buttocks of every other coach, attempting to disrupt the apple cart so many times, there'll barely be any fruit left on it when I'm done.
Exactly how I'm going to do that with my decidedly average team is anyone's guess but that's my problem, not yours.
And there's a few problems this week (when isn't there?) namely:
McGovern - Had his ribs crunched in on the weekend in the cats game and spent three days in hospital because of it. I don't think he's coming back anytime soon...
Martin - I haven't heard if Dusty is coming back from the bug that subbed him out last round. For the sake of our chaos causing ways, we sincerely hope so.
Curnow - Had a rough round last one but can't find any news that he's been sabotaged by a seagull so hopefully he'll have a better one this time.
And so with those thoughts in (the back of my) mind, I present to you the team
going out to cause a Wu Tang level ruckus against Team Brand Power this
week.
Whoops, excuse me. That was taken at training this week. Seems my mob of misfits have well and truly taken the 'Cause chaos' thing to heart. Literally.
No this is the lineup of Spanner Throwers this week:
Are they all actually playing though? I don't know. Chaos gods only know. But with the lowest average on board strangely belonging to Buddy Franklin, we might do okay. Or get completely swatted, let's wait and see shall we?
THE RESULTS ARE IN....AND WE DIDN'T GET SWATTED!
Unfortunately neither did we win, even though Coach Brandon admitted this was one of his roughest rounds in terms of player performance.
But hey, at least he fielded a full team in this weeks clash. Mine on the other hand:...
Of those who were picked:
Dangerfield didn't play (Hamstring?)
McGrath didn't play (groin)
Flynn didn't show (quad)
And of those we didn't:
Well there's not much point in highlighting them here is there? They wouldn't have changed the outcome any so let's move on..
Somehow though it was relatively close in the end..
Is it time for Danger to go though to let someone else uninjured have a go?
