It's always the way isn't it? The last day before holidays is always the busiest..
SUB IN FOR FOOTY CHAT
The regular footy tipper wasn't around and so we scrambled for a last minute replacement mid song. Lu's great idea of someone who was currently playing Supercoach paid off dividends when Brandon, coach of Brand Power of course, jumped in and smoothly tipped us through. Hopefully the power didn't go too much to his head because the regular bloke should be back raring to go when we return from holidays.
TIME TO BREAK
I worked through Christmas last year/New years this year aiming to have a couple of weeks off in March when things were far quieter in a people sense.
Of course that brilliant plan went by the wayside when I signed my breakfast contract didn't it? They couldn't delay the launch any longer and so my annual leave had to wait, until now the traditional Easter/school holidays crossover.
Conveniently with all the public holidays (yeah the contract gets me out of working public holidays which hasn't happened in my career for years) just using four days of my holiday nets me a full 11.
I've switched off my morning alarm and all the back up ones too, purely there just in case.
And as much as I'd like to say my break time will involve attempting to take over the world (again) it'll be better used to catch up on sleep, finish more games on my 'to finish' list (it's a long list) and get to more writing, both her and for my books.
Oh and copious amounts of coffee thrown in with a bit of work on the car and shed time. Glorious.
EASTER FESTIVITIES
We put it out there: What are you planning to do across the Easter break this year? Lu's got some cows to tag but from the responses on Facebook:
-Easter eggs hunts
-Decluttering the shed (I've done this a few times this year with varying results..)
-Golf, golf and more golf
-Family (me too)
-Local footy
Probably doesn't look like this anymore.. |
-Cooking
-Birthdays
-Not working (I hear that!)
AND WHEN WE RETURN..
We're ramping up Mothers Day, giving away board games and finding out how much the cows enjoyed being tagged.
Okay maybe not that last one..
Enjoy your Easter!
