Now blogging over at Onemanmanyplans.com.au

It's been real, thanks Blogger! Hey thanks for checking out this page! After 10 years of posting here and over 600 posts, it's time to try something new at over possibly greener pastures. Which means you can now find me and all my random adventuring ways over at One Man Many Plans .

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 125 - It lived to see 17 years..

The cars in the shop, I'm learning to keep my social announcements short and in other lessons you really don't know if something is going to work (or fail) until you try it.

REPORT FROM THE RADIATOR SHOP

'Please don't be head gaskets, please don't be head gaskets, please don't be head gaskets!' -Always a fear when you're a Subaru owner with a mid 2000's EJ25 engine.

Thankfully no, my on again off again Subaru heat gauge dramas are not head gasket related, it turns out the radiator has a minor leak which is pushing out fluid that it should be using and dragging in air which is shouldn't. Oh and the top and bottom radiator hoses have cracks and the air conditioning system is working harder than it should so it needs a service too. I've been trying to diagnose this for months and finally bit the bullet and took it to a specialist - probably should have done that a while back but I like to be thorough first and get professionals in when every other avenue is exhausted.  Obviously this won't be a cheap job by any rate (it's back to the shop for it's new parts come Monday) but considering radiators usually have a lifespan of 10 years and this one lasted 17 or so, I think it's done pretty damn well for itself.

Here's to getting it done and not having one eye on the heat gauge when driving anywhere anymore!

GET TO THE POINT QUICKER

It's been a while between Toks (Tik Toks). Busy with everything else over the last few weeks including working on the next book and some YouTube stuff, in a brief burst of creativity yesterday afternoon, I figured why not throw something up quickly? And I'm underlining the word quick here because at just 7 seconds in duration total, it's the shortest piece I've uploaded there.

But how would this fare compared to my usual work of +20 seconds or more?

A lot better than expected to be honest.

At the time of writing it's been less than 24 hours since I posted it and it's been viewed 669 times and counting. Which is very impressive considering my slightly longer stuff has usually climbed to around the 200 views mark...and then decided that was enough.
And that's not because of likes or saves either, because there's not many garnered so far - maybe it's more that it gets to the point in under 10 seconds and then people can move onto cat videos quicker.

Whatever it is, I'm grateful for the views and here's to it shifting a couple more paperbacks!

WHEN DO YOU PUT YOUR TREE UP?

Honestly on paper, it doesn't look like the most exciting talk topic does it? And yet people jumped on the phone to share their xmas display work plans with us...and it's only October. Already xmas fans are drawing up their plans of attack when it comes to Christmas lights and tree displays, tree selections and even getting a jump on their wish lists a good couple of months early.

As for me, I'm trying my hardest not to count the pay days left before go time..

Again, sometimes you've got to ask these questions to see what worked - and strangely pre-christmas chat in October did. The more you know!

AND THANKS FOR THE COPY I GUESS?

Right now we're doing a daily campaign searching for the best in various categories across the local Border region. Think along the lines of best coffee in town, best butcher, best gym etc.
Interestingly another radio station in town (no need to name names, they know who they are) just announced they too were looking for the best of stuff locally, a couple of hours after we kicked things off...

Really? Come on guys, surely you can't think your timing here is a little more than coincidental..

Time to go save for a new radiator! (Thanks for checking out today's post btw!)
