The adventures of Almigo

It's been an age since I had one of these posts, February 2014 to be exact so 7 and a bit years later, let's do another! Welcome to Bits N Pizzas - Where there's not enough rambling for a post with the lot but enough for individual slices..

The location has been sorted, the media and authorities have been notified (Mantaur purposely gave them the wrong address so no drunken shenanigan's could be witnessed) and the local opportunity shops raided for only the finest of sub $20 suits all round. Yes it's time for the Team Almigo Supercoach awards night!

 Ahh the glorious internet provides once again, especially when it comes to Warhammer 40k stuff.  This time taking me back to the early 90's, White Dwarf Magazine and a model you could make at home if you were in your early teens and didn't have much cash to burn on Games Workshop models. (Although now being 41 years old with bills, family life and debts, I'm pretty much in the same boat anyway.) I've found the magazine again which means all these years on, we can now build another scratch built Warhammer 40k Ork Gobsmasha!

We had a big day of celebrating the 90's in music yesterday at work (for those not in the know I work at a radio station which is why a day like this would make a lot of sense) and in between 90's hits (and the occasional miss, not all music from that decade was enjoyable) I found myself busy spamming Twitter with 90's memories and things I've missed. And after that I find myself wanting to build a time machine and relive some of those glory days once again..

  I'm now one spot away from finals cutoff.  To get there I have to beat the strong team in second place. Oh and to make things really interesting, three quarters of my engine is going missing this round. Nothing like a cliffhanger deciding round hey? 

Here's the rub: Even though I won last week, I need the following to happen this week if I am to stand even within sniffing distance of the finals. I need to win against Griffith Sux in a major way.  I need Crippa to lose, in a major way. I need Brandos to lose too, just because. Oh and I need to find 3 new Forwards this week because the ones I have are on holiday this round. Not even Tom Cruise would be keen to take on this mess. Almigo, I am not keen. - TC And things were looking okay for a while too. Could we be in any more dire circumstances than this?

My thoughts are random, my memories occasionally vague. Today I'm remembering three things related to Australian TV and it's brought up three burning questions I might need your help in answering.. Not you Sophie Lee, I remember your name.

Matt tries to shame me in losing the last round to Cripaaa until I point out that he was also in the loser circle this week and he should get on his bike (which was conveniently right next to him while we chatted.) Also I need to reshuffle the deck and given how unpredictable my team has been as of late, I'm not sure if this is going to work in my favor or not..
