The Breakfast Radio Diaries 134 - Getting harder to breathe

I started the weekend gasping for breath, wondered why my overflow tank was suddenly taking to its name now being an inch away from actually overflowing and went to a nephews birthday party where I ended up talking about the process of writing a book or two self published style.  Drain drain, here we go again. So that's me, how was your weekend?

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 133 - Short and sweet

Today's effort is going to be a brief one on account of me currently feeling like I just wrestled a bus.  You win this time you big bastard.. And lost.

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 132 - Not chilling like a villian

After a bit of a late night I'm feeling a touch rough but I'm still learning lots - like micro shares in horse ownership and how to waste $1200 on an advent calendar.

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 131 - How do you plant a cocktail tree?

We're celebrating a handsome Prime Minister today with a bunch of cocktails. Maybe I'll invite my latest Whatsapp friend Tina to come join us? Sadly my new friend Tina is not the lovely Tina Arena pictured here. Damn.

All aboard The Real Love Boat! (The people have some questions!)

Look, I'll admit that I was a little unfair on The Real Love Boat Australia a couple of weeks back. .

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 130 - Overkill taxi cabs

My car's working like it should but boy the effort to get it back was full of issues. Also I managed to miss an incredible classic in my best Aussie song list and I've gone so hard on the mute button as of late, Facebook is really trying its hardest to get me to hang on.

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 129 - Turn these 10 up nice and loud..

Now being a Monday I could share the exciting tales of my weekend (feat: Mowing the lawns before the storms rolled in again and watching my team die over and over again in the challenging X-Com 2) but instead we're going to crack into some awesome music. Speakers up kids, this is going to be a fun ride! Also an update on my life as a Zimbabwean trillionaire, because it's been a while.

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 128 - And then it rained..

It's always the way isn't it? You plan a charity event months in advance, selecting a weekend in spring to hopefully raise some big dollars for a great cause. And then it rains. Down it comes, rain storms, the works.  Still, thankfully that's not going to dampen the enthusiasm of a couple of people we chatted to this morning. Also can I have a crack at this PM job?

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 127 - Hi Reddit, I'm a finely tuned athlete now!

After a red hot offer straight to the inbox last night, I'm considering hanging up my headphones and calling it quits on two plus decades in radio. I'm also donning the hard hat and breaking out the sledgehammer on this page and since I didn't win 50 million last week, that must mean I'm in with a chance at 100 mil tonight yeah? Yeah?

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 126 - Green pasta covering machine

We're running out of potatoes, I'm battling pesto's against each other and I'm struggling to remember the last time I used a camera that didn't have a mobile phone attached to it...

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 125 - It lived to see 17 years..

The cars in the shop, I'm learning to keep my social announcements short and in other lessons you really don't know if something is going to work (or fail) until you try it.

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 124 - Not a barn belter brain busting barney at all

The rains rolled in across the weekend...practically everywhere I wasn't which was nice. On top of that someone's come up with the brilliant idea of throwing reality TV stars into a boxing ring and thanks to an idiot on Facebook, I'm now introducing myself to the company's legal department..

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 123 - Here comes the rain again

It rained all night, it rained all morning. And yet after all the calls about road closures and tire destroying potholes and flooding across the country during the show, I walked to the car in balmy sunshine. I'm also not 50 million dollars richer, so there's that too today.

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 122 - Be one with the bed

I came home today, cooked a meal and jumped straight back into bed. I'm learning a lot of new things across 2022 and not all of them are good...

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 121 - There must be more to it than this

Warning: Mini rant ahead. I'm okay though, just insanely bored of everything.

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 120 - Cows, dragons and the FBI

Million Dollar Island is plagued with asbestos, there's a right wing invite only dating app with a supreme lack of women, there's a pill coming to stop environmentally dangerous cow farts and can someone inject a bit of Spartacus into the latest series of Game of Thrones please??

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 119 - Hot chocolates and homicidal orcs

In my last diary entry I wrote about the heavy rains that actually never showed up. But even with some nice weather (okay, it did rain on Friday night for a bit so it wasn't all glorious sunshine) I still really didn't get up to much over the weekend. Yes I could lie and tell you I stopped terrorists, saved princesses and earned myself enough ticker tape parades to last a lifetime in the process but who are we kidding here? I drank a lot of coffee, wrote for a bit, played a lot of games, played with my 3D printer and got into a bit of Netflix - because not every weekend can be jammed packed full of random adventure .  Today however was a little on the busy side for a Monday. We got into what people have stopped doing since the rains came calling, discovered new show The Love Boat seems to have sprung a leak, I've found a great place for a long walk and took a trip back to 1992 for my YouTube shenanigans..

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 118 - Plucking on a six string

My current arch nemesis Storm-Asthma burst into the house uninvited last night and we tussled for a couple of hours before I finally felt okay to back to bed again. So with that lack of recharge and a big to do listen before I could whisper to myself 'The weekend begins...now', it's no wonder all I want to do now is curl up on the couch and watch episodes of Eat The Rich on Netflix before snoozing the afternoon away while it rains outside.  But before I become one with the recliner, let's talk awesome Aussie music first.

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 117 - Bulgarian hackers and YouTube success

The headphones are staying in (and working well), we found out how creative hackers can get and it seems my son is leaving me in the virtual dust when we compare YouTube accounts.

The Matrix Resurrections - can we just let him sleep now?

What I was hoping for - a massive slice of action packed heroic nostalgia pie that would make me question the very fabric of reality when it was done, similar to the first three.  What I got - Best described by one reviewer on IMDB - 'The fan movie no one really asked for.'  Oh boy, can we unplug this one already?

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 116 - Breaking rocks all day

A storm rolled through and ruined my night and right I'm feeling like I've run a marathon I wasn't even aware I was in. Luckily tomorrow is another day and music has returned to help me power through it.

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 115 - Ponies and purple bins

I had a day off yesterday for the NSW Labor Day holiday and it was just what I needed - just to recover from the two days before! Also I think we've got enough bins now and I'm time tripping back to the arcades of old.
