The adventures of Almigo

  Another day, another hour in the afternoon killed with a bit of arcade gaming history. This time we're jumping into the far future, into giant mechs and drilling our enemies to death in what really should be considered some kind of war crime.. Strap yourself in!

I had a decent sized asthma attack last night, ending up sounding like Thomas the Tank Engine wheezing directly after a rocket attack. The ventolin in my system gave me a strange dream of going in for experimental surgery with a doctor in the middle of a mental breakdown.  After that incredible start, what else could go possibly wrong today?

  It's school holiday time once more here in casa de Almigo and what better time to resurrect my arcade machine + computer project than now. Now the kids have thousands of games to choose from and I too get to discover things I haven't played yet - like Legionaire here where the idea is to punch bad guys in a bad land until there are no more bad guys to punch..

I remembered to eat today. Which is pretty important really especially when you do a workout and all you've got in your system is a couple of strong coffee's..  Also can someone tell me what happened at the end of Arrow?

The days have become a bit of a blur but the nights seem to stretch so far, I can't recall how much of it I spent awake and how much sleep I actually got in the end. Luckily my autopilot mode is pretty well tuned by this point...oh and rocket fuel coffee certainly helps..

I ate gourmet pies and downed lemon lime and bitters by the mug full but even the tastiest Chinese BBQ pork belly effort wasn't going to save a truly boring AFL Grand Final. Also good luck finding saveloys in this town and why a dam spilling over truly is a time to celebrate.

This whole public holiday on a Thursday (Queen's memorial 2022) has thrown me for a complete loop. I woke up this morning feeling like it was a Monday. I managed to completely miss the freeway exit I needed and proceeded to drive another twenty five kilometres before realising. And during my mid week day off, I witnessed one of the greatest toddler meltdowns in human history. It's been a big couple of days.

Meet Mark - professional thief, wielder of a cybernetic arm that he still hasn't gotten the hang of yet and after an accident and losing everything, a man desperate to be on top of things again. But as the main character of my latest book Last Thief Standing , that crawl back to what he knew is going to cost him dearly.. (Sorry not sorry there Mark..) However after coming across a very interesting website courtesy of Facebook, it seems when Mark isn't knocking off the nearest art gallery, he's been busy moonlighting for other authors..

It's the day before the Queens memorial public holiday, I've got family on my doorstep looking to be let in and with everything on this week, I still haven't booked my car in for a yearly safety check. The last thing I'm ready for is a two hour meeting, especially when my brain clicks off for the day shortly after each show. Fate, you really don't like me this week do you?

I'm exhausted, slightly sun burnt and sporting a couple of self inflicted whip wounds. Welcome to day one of the the three days that is the returning Henty Machinery Field Days!

Things are going to get muddy and I'm going to need something that can handle that. Also today we bid farewell to Hollie the wonder dog and how good is Aliens the movie?

Not all tools are created equal and I should know as I've owned some pretty awful ones over the years. And while this truly average DIYer has thrown out plenty of cheap and more often than not now broken examples out over the years, somehow the really useless stuff keeps finding a way back into my collection. So let's open the double doors to my little shed here and discover the truly bad from the decidedly average here. 

Today I'm a kid with spikes on my shoulders but not enough room in my stomach for cake, courtesy of the best gourmet pie in Australia..

Today we're hilariously mishearing lyrics and I've decided I can't hate hard work..

Greetings good citizen, it's the Earl of East Albury here once again - climbing hills, working up a sweat and hanging out for a burrito with fat chips nestled inside...

The tax agent reached for his email, the Ear Nose and Throat Registrar reached for her tool set and usually when I'm cooking across the week, I'm reaching for either the air fryer or the George Foreman grill..

Now that I've clicked past the 100 shows milestone, it's business as usual. And that business this week is working on tax, getting my sense of smell back (again) and eating and drinking my way around Albury Wodonga each weekend..

It should have been a day of celebrations - 100 episodes of a show since the first day when I pumped myself up so much, I kept crashing into everything . But no it turned out to be a truly busy Friday where we remembered Queen Elizabeth and every technical part behind the scenes bugged out at the worst time possible..

Don't look now but there's another iPhone on the horizon. Also isn't it amazing how many things you still remember that have no relevance to today whatsoever?

I woke up with abs I never thought I had, there's enough cat fur in this place to build and army and I forgot to mention yesterday how the Geelong Football Club ruined a pay day for me. 

My back hurts, I hate cleaning. But I hate heartless real estate agents from the North even more. 

 I had the house to myself, I'm wrestling with Tik Tok and bring on Sunday when we celebrate the dads.

Take the kids to laser tag, meet a fan of the show. Wake up, make a new random tourist friend! Boy oh boy, it seems I'm popular this week!
