The Breakfast Radio Diaries 027: Sport, sport and Jeff.

The fuel light on my own energy tank is flashing madly and Lu's about ready for the sick bay (if we had one). Meanwhile Jeff Goldblum watches on comfortably from Studio 2, completely nonplussed about anything.

Bash for the Border - Round 7 - You got to pay to play. And I won't.

So it turns out Supercoach wants me to pay $25 and then it will let me know which players have been hit by a bus, which ones have been taken out by an ax wielding maniac and who has a note from their mum's explaining why they can't be there to lace up their footy boots this week. If I don't pony up, I've going to have to do all that research myself. Or in my case, hope I get things right like I've been attempting to do all season and last long.  Fat chance Supercoach, $25 for a game I know I'm going to lose anyway? Can't see the point myself..

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 026: Featuring Wuey the bat

Legendary comedian Dave O'Neil joined us for a chat about his upcoming gig in town, we found out when wombats attack and I managed to annoy a hard working barista at McDonalds.

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 025: The axe in the truck is completely normal.

I should be sleeping but I'm not. Also if you could book all the yearly events so I don't have to, that'd be awesome.  Also any part time work going on at the Orville?

The Breakfast Radio Diaries 024: Stung on the bum

Well it's been an eventful 11 days away from the microphone, I spent a few hours waiting in line at the local Emergency Department while Lu took on a bunch of wasps...and lost.

Bash for the Border - Round 6 - a painful trip to the seafood buffet

Forget the blind leading the blind here, in my case right now it's the injured leading the unknown as we face the Lethal Lobsters with no idea whatsoever if most of the team are going to show up..

Junk and conversation

The book is $5, the conversation you never asked for nor never ends is free...

Save us Gordo!

It's not very often I'd wish Gordon Ramsey on an eatery but today was that day. And I didn't want him to just stroll in tieing up his chef whites and throw out a few suggestions, no I felt in this case he needed to parachute in and stage a coup, confiscating the salt before anyone else got hurt.

Nothing like the last minute!

Well it's been a pretty solid couple of months as you've no doubt read round these parts - my foray back into the world of early starts and early finishes that is Breakfast Radio has been going on swimmingly. On top of that there's my coaching attempts again (Supercoach to be exact) which hasn't been quite as successful. Behind all that though? I've still been writing. Still chipping away at my latest sci-fi release Last Thief Standing. And on the book side of things I figured it was high time to get back on the promotion train.  The trouble was, all the promos I wanted to be part of are slated in for next month..

The Breakfast Radio dairies 023: Disengage all alarms

It's always the way isn't it? The last day before holidays is always the busiest..

Bash for the Border - Round 5 - Patch holes and hope the wall still stands

We swap captains crowns again, boot out Lever and pray Dusty makes a last minute return as 6th place takes on 7th, hoping to get climbing again. Oh and injuries rear their ugly head once again!

The breakfast radio diaries 022: The sightings of Goomba and Putrid

That's it, we're out of cheesecakes. Also I'm not keen on the fanatics gauntlet come election day and there's some creative people driving cars around the place currently.

The breakfast radio diaries 021: Toast, chocolate traps and cow tagging

If I get fat this week (or die of a chocolate related overdose of some sort) then it's all the sales teams fault. They set up an Easter display on the way to the printer with an open invitation to help myself whenever I passed. And so I have. Yes those little Cadbury eggs went so well with my morning coffee. Yes they were better than the stale toast. No I didn't stop at one, this is me we're talking about and when those little seductive bastards whisper their little chocolate call, you know its me unwrapping them then and there..

The breakfast radio diaries 020: Vote one sausage in bread

You'd think by now, this many early starts into it, that I'd finally get the hang of the 'Sunday night sleep into Monday morning routine' but no. I'm sure I was awake for most of it, dreading both the cat performing a rendition of her wake up dance (which she didn't) and fearing the alarm not working (it worked just fine, that was just unwanted Sunday paranoia.) Still coffee and water got me through and across this Monday we talked everything TV, found out when we've got to vote next and you guessed it, gave away another cheesecake!

The breakfast radio diaries 019: Put a hat on a cat

We wanted to do 80s wedding songs but it wasn't to be. Instead we found out if you put a hat on a cat, gave away even more cheesecake and got ready for the weekend instead. This post is Sir Purrkins approved!

The breakfast radio diaries 018: It's Friday again

Actually wait, no, it's Thursday. But this week has been such a busy blur that I can't remember Monday and yesterday sure as sure didn't feel like a Wednesday. Of course that's the mornings, the afternoons are currently feeling like I just threw the clock in the freezer..

Bash for the Border - Round 4 - Heavy lies the head that wears the crown.

So this week I've decided to award the captaincy of the Flavorless Flav's on merit and not to the first guy that rocked up to the club rooms (sorry Bont), plus I've made the first player trade with another coach in the history of me playing this game, swapping an inconsistent Cat for a Magpie. Let's see what happens from here!

The breakfast radio diaries 017: Can't win em all!

The bao ended up a little salty and needed a touch more sugar. My song pick only scored a meagre 30% of the votes in the flashback fight. But the cheesecake was well received and Ross Wilson was a good chat so that balanced things out nicely.

The breakfast radio diaries 016: Served hot, dripping in butter

The car's working, my sleep is not. But I pushed on and found that the border is full of traditionalists, there might be a new social media on the horizon and I'm quite enjoying the freedom my career change comes with.

The breakfast radio diaries 015: You've got to pump it up

The title of today's effort doesn't refer to the show, more to the passenger side front wheel of my beloved Subaru Bax who over the weekend lost most of it's enthusiasm to hold air. So I was extra careful driving in this morning and working out where to take him once the show was done..

The breakfast radio diaries 014: Roll the dice and hope things don't explode

I craved chocolate, played Monopoly on a bridge and wondered why my car was overheating after just four days of ownership. Welcome to Friday!
